Bees Class - Reception

Miss M Todd - Class Teacher
Play is an important part of a child's development in Bees class, and is recognised as a fundamental commitment to their wellbeing. Play-based learning is a mixture of carefully planned play and adult-led activities. The early years foundation stage (EYFS) states that children should have the freedom to play in a stimulating environment and choose what they play with. Term 3 Focus: People Who Help Us
In Term 3, Bees will be learning all about People Who Help Us, including police officers, firefighters, veterinarians, dentists, and doctors and nurses. Through discussion and shared experiences, children will explore the important roles these helpers play in our community, what to do in an emergency, and who to call for help. Our Drawing Club will also connect with this theme, as Bees create stories and animations inspired by superheroes and everyday helpers, encouraging creativity while developing deeper thinking and understanding.
